It is an agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR), also known as the ghrelin receptor, and it inhibits the binding of other GHS-R agonists like MK-0677 (Ibutamoren).
It stimulating GH release witjout affecting the release of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH),luteining hormone (LH),or follicle-stimulating hormone.
